Drinking Too Much Water Can be Deadly!!
Ghiboo.com - Drinking water regularly can prevent kidney damage, lose weight and improve concentration.
But experts warn that drinking more than eight glasses per day is not good and can be harmful to health.
When you consume too much water, the mineral sodium (electrolytes) in the body can drop dramatically due overwhelmed kidneys to remove excess water from the body.
This causes a condition known as hiponatremania, which causes the body to retain water too much. If the sodium level in the bloodstream is too low, the water will leave the blood and enter the cells. As a result, the body's cells to swell.
Hyponatremia is very harmful to the brain and can cause seizures and even death. "When the water enters the brain cells, the brain will swell which makes the pressure in the skull. Eventually you will be more likely to experience headaches," said Professor Robert Forrest, a consultant in clinical chemistry and forensic toxicology at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield.
